The Principals Funds Management joins the GFCC as a corporate member

We're delighted to announce that The Principals Funds Management has joined our organization as a corporate member. The Principals Funds is an Australia-based private enterprise that provides global advisory services to businesses, policy leaders, and organizations both in Australia and globally owned by our Distinguished Fellow, Mr. Charles Kiefel AM.

 

Mr. Kiefel is a strategic thinker and doer who has had an incredibly successful career across sectors and industries. He has lived and worked in many countries and has expertise in technology strategy and commercialization in various domains, outside of financial industries, including health technologies, infrastructure, air transportation, energy, among others.

 

Additionally, he brings years of expertise to the market in investment banking, finance, stockbroking, and stakeholder management, especially in wholesale superannuation funds, insurance companies, and government employee super funds, to help businesses secure funds to grow and thrive.

 

His expanding engagement with the GFCC will bring an amazing set of strategic capabilities and provide access to a range of high-profile relationships.

In 2018, Mr. Kiefel was appointed by the Australian Federal Government to co-chair the Australian Advisory Board on Technology & Healthcare Competitiveness, a body focused on healthcare technology, advanced computing, and access to capital, and one of the hosts of GFCC’s flagship Global Innovation Summit in 2020.

In particular, his efforts to co-create the GFCC Global Innovation Summit in the most complicated days of the COVID-19 pandemic, and those in 2019 to catalyze the first-ever Australia-US chief technology officer and innovation alliance stand out as paramount examples of concrete steps to advance global productivity and prosperity - global benchmarks. His new membership in the GFCC will open new avenues for collaboration, work, and impact for our community."

Additionally, Mr. Kiefel is an Advisory Board Member of EC POHL & Co PRIVATE WEALTH and the Non-executive Director of the Australian Government Clean Energy Regulator. He previously served multiple leadership roles in the private sector at Universal Biosensors Inc, Hyperion Asset Management, Lochard Company, ANZ Investment Group, Ord Minnett, Lazard Brothers London and others. He has contributed for many years to philanthropic causes, and held honorary leadership positions with numerous charitable foundations.
